  2. Coronavirus in Florida

The  Coronavirus came ashore to Florida and ran people off our crowded beaches. It caused the shutdown of Sports,  Spring Break, and other community events, even worse is the shutdown of clubs, coffeehouses, home concerts, festivals, and conventions.  People have gone to the internet in search of entertainment and opportunities to express themselves via Zoom, Youtube, and other digital forms of communication.

To this end, we’ve already collected a ton of material from anywhere we could find it, from our own personal collections as well as the state archives and Florida Memory Project.

Instead of a podcast to appear prior to the Festival, we would like to present a virtual Folk Festival that would stretch over that same entire weekend (May 22, 23, 24), during the same 30 hours the real three-day festival music schedule would have been staged.
